Competitive cheer and dance was a varsity sport at IU East during the 2011-12 school year. The IU East cheer squad finished second at an NAIA Competitive Cheer and Dance Qualifying Event and advanced to the NCA/NDA NAIA Invitational at Daytona Beach, Fla.
