Sophomore Carlie Rider (Eaton, Ohio/Eaton High School) lowered her own women's 5K school record to 20:40 in the process of becoming the first Red Wolves runner to earn consecutive trips to the NAIA Cross Country National Championships.
Rider posted two other top 10 times during the 2011 season.
Freshmen Aaron Buchler (Genesee, Mich./Genesee High School), Seth Prince (Albany, Ind./Delta High School) and Taylor Gray (Richmond, Ind./Richmond High School) all cracked the IU East men's cross country 8K top 10 list.
Buchler ran the fifth-, ninth- and 10th-fastest times in school history.
The IU East men set a school record for most teams defeated at a meet by finishing ahead of six teams at the Wilmington College Invitational on Oct. 14.
Both Red Wolves teams finished fourth at the season-ending Kentucky Intercollegiate Athletic Conference meet, the best KIAC cross country finishes in the program's four-year history.
