The Indiana University East men's basketball team shared lunch with students at Vaile Elementary in Richmond on Feb. 24.

The Red Wolves players enjoyed pizza with the youngsters in the school cafeteria.

A group of Vaile students performed a special chant wishing the Red Wolves good luck in their conference tournament.

IU East's players led the singing of "Happy Birthday" for a Vaile youngster.

All of the students got their chance to learn the "Wolf Wave" and to get their photo with Rufus the Red Wolf, the IU East mascot.

The event was a Champions of Character activity for the IU East basketball team. Champions of Character, the NAIA's flagship program, emphasizes the five core values of integrity, respect, responsibility, sportsmanship and servant leadership.
