Indiana University East's competitive cheer and dance programs have announced tryout information for the 2012-13 school year.

CHEER

May 3 - Mandatory information meeting from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. in the Springwood Hall Graf Center

May 4 - Mandatory tryout clinic from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Springwood Hall gymnasium.

May 5 - Tryouts at 10 a.m. in the Springwood Hall gym.

May 6 - Mandatory team meeting at 6 p.m. for cheerleaders selected for the squad.

Tryouts are open to any prospective cheerleaders who will attend IU East during the 2012-13 school year.

Prospective cheerleaders should e-mail coach Marcy Crull at mjcrull@iue.edu for tryout information.

Practices during the 2012-13 school year will be Mondays and Wednesdays from noon to 2 p.m. in the Graf Center Gymnasium  and 2 to 3 p.m. in the Graf Center weight room.

Tumbling practices will be Fridays from 2 to 3:30 p.m. at the Richmond Gymnastic Center.

DANCE

The 2010-11 IU East cheer and dance teams both qualified for the NCA/NDA NAIA Invitational in Daytona Beach, Fla.
