
NEW ALBANY, Ind. - The Indiana University East men's tennis team defeated Kentucky Intercollegiate Athletic Conference opponent Saint Louis College of Pharmacy on April 14 at Indiana University Southeast.
The Red Wolves (3-10, 2-2) remained unbeaten in matches played on neutral courts during the 2011-12 school year.
The Eutectics, a first-year program, are 2-4 (0-2).
Freshman Ty Butler (Wadesville, Ind./North Posey High School) won at No. 1 singles and teamed with freshman Jake Welsh (Buchanan, Mich./Buchanan High School) for a win at No. 1 doubles.
All seven Red Wolves who played picked up a win.
Redshirt sophomore No. 6 singles player Nick Frank (Brookville, Ind./Franklin County High School) won in a third-set supertiebreak against a Eutectics player who had won three consecutive matches. Frank's match ended in darkness at about 9 p.m.
The Red Wolves host NCAA Division II opponent Central State University on April 16 at Glen Miller Park.
