WABASH, Ind. - The Indiana University East women's golf team competed at the Manchester College Invitational on April 14 at Honeywell Golf Course.
Freshman Kristin Smith (Richmond, Ind./Centerville High School) led IU East with a 111 on the par 72, 5,965-yard course.
Redshirt freshman Asia Mathis (Indianapolis, Ind./North Central High School) carded a spring-best 112. Freshman Megan Price (Centerville, Ind./Centerville High School) also finished with a 112.
"Kristin and Asia showed improvement today with their front nine scores, and even though they had to battle the rain for the last four or five holes, they still played with confidence. Megan also played some good holes and had some nice shots." said IU East coach Von Ebeling. "Kristin has steadily improved so far this spring season, and her focus and confidence has really given our team a lift."
IU East was unable to post a team score.
