Red Wolves - IU East

RICHMOND, Ind. - The Indiana University East men's and women's tennis teams defeated NCAA Division II program Central State University on April 16 at Glen Miller Park.

The IU East men won 7-2 and the Red Wolves women won 9-0.

The Red Wolves men (4-10) surpassed their win total from the 2011 spring season.

The IU East women are 3-4 on their spring season.

The Central State men are 1-9 and the women are 1-7.

Freshmen Ty Butler (Wadesville, Ind./North Posey High School), Brian Luke (Connersville, Ind./Connersville High School) and Derek Blank (Buchanan, Mich./Buchanan High School) all won in singles and doubles for IU East.

Freshman Kara Haynes (Brookville, Ohio/Brookville High School) dropped one total game in her singles and doubles wins.

The IU East women play April 19 at Cedarville University.

Both Red Wolves teams play April 21 at Saint Joseph's College.
