RICHMOND, Ind. - Connor Kramer, a senior at Eastern Hancock High School in Charlottesville, Ind., has signed a letter of intent to play tennis for Indiana University East starting with the 2012-13 school year.
Red Wolves coach Erskine Ratchford announced the signing May 2.
Kramer led Eastern Hancock's tennis team in wins in his last three seasons and was the Royals' MVP in 2010 and 2011.
He compiled a 70-15 high school record.
"Connor is a proven competitor with a winning record who will be a great addition as we continue to strengthen and build our team," Ratchford said.
"He has good work ethic and wants to work hard and improve his game. He will improve our team for next season."
Connor is the son of Dick and Stacie Kramer and Jim and Juli Alberts.
He plans to major in accounting.
"I chose IU East because it is close to home and I have the privilege of continuing my tennis career," Kramer said.
Kramer joins Matt Hinds of Muncie, Ethan Taulbee of Camden, Ohio, and Brad Wilzbacher of Fort Branch in IU East's 2012 men's tennis recruiting class.
IU East is an NAIA program. The Red Wolves are wrapping up the program's second season.
