
The Indiana University East men's basketball team set a school record for wins during the 2011-12 season - and also tied or broke 22 other school records this past winter.

Senior guard David Sanders (Indianapolis, Ind./Beech Grove High School) single-handedly accounted for six of those new records. Sanders broke or extended his own school records for career games played, games started, minutes, free throws attempted, assists and steals during his senior season.
Four IU East team records fell in one game - the Red Wolves' 116-75 homecoming win against Ohio State University at Mansfield on Nov. 18. The Red Wolves established single-game team records for field goals, field goal attempts, rebounds and offensive rebounds against the Mavericks.
IU East finished the 2011-12 season with a 24-8 record, establishing program records for total wins and winning percentage.
The Red Wolves advanced to the NAIA Division II Men's Basketball National Championship for the second consecutive year.
IU East is one of 12 schools in the NAIA Division II to win 23 games or more in three of the past four seasons.
