Red Wolves - IU East

Three Indiana University East teams received NAIA Scholar-Team honors for the 2011-12 school year, the NAIA announced.

The Red Wolves women's cross country, women's tennis and women's volleyball teams made the NAIA Scholar-Team list.

A team must have a minimum 3.0 combined GPA (on a 4.0 scale) to earn the NAIA Scholar-Team award.

IU East produced three Scholar-Teams in the same year for the first time.

The women's tennis team repeated as a Scholar-Team.

The women's cross country team earned Scholar-Team honors for the second time in three years.

The volleyball program earned Scholar-Team status for the first time.

A total 743 teams (about 23 percent of NAIA teams) received the award.

The Oklahoma City University women's track and field team was named the 2011-12 NAIA Scholar-Team of the Year.
