Red Wolves - IU East

The Indiana University East volleyball team makes its first public appearance of 2012 with a scrimmage/exhibition event at the University of Indianapolis on Aug. 15.

The Red Wolves will share the court with the host Greyhounds, Saint Joseph's College and Bellarmine University.

The event starts at 6 p.m.

Indianapolis, Saint Joseph's and Bellarmine are NCAA Division II programs from the Great Lakes Valley Conference.

LAST TIME OUT

IU East is coming off of a 37-9 season highlighted by the program's third consecutive trip to the NAIA Volleyball National Championship.

IU EAST STORYLINES

IU East will follow NAIA scrimmage guidelines. The Red Wolves will not record a team score or individual statistics.

SCOUTING THE OPPOSITION

Indianapolis finished the 2011 season ranked 20th in the NCAA Division II. The Greyhounds were 24-8, won the GLVC and advanced to the round of 16 in the NCAA Division II tournament.

Bellarmine was 13-12 overall and sixth in the GLVC East Division.

Saint Joseph's was 10-18 overall and seventh in the GLVC East Division
