Red Wolves - IU East

The Indiana University East women's golf team tees off its fall season Aug. 24 with the IU East Red Wolves Fall Invitational.

The tournament starts at 11 a.m. at Highland Lake Golf Course.

The Red Wolves will host Indiana Wesleyan University and Marian University.

LAST TIME OUT

IU East was unable to field a full team at most of its competitions in 2011-12.

This is the first women's IU East Fall Tee-Off Tournament.

IU EAST STORYLINES

* It's the fall season opener for IU East.

* IU East is the first NAIA school to host a women's golf event this fall, according to GolfStat.com.

SCOUTING THE OPPOSITION

Indiana Wesleyan University is a first-year program. The IU East Fall Tee-Off is the debut event for the Wildcats.

Katie Dennis is the top returnee for Marian, which had five players with 18-hole averages of 90 or less in 2011-12.
