Indiana University East junior volleyball player Caitlin Burroughs and redshirt junior tennis player Paige Froman earned Kentucky Intercollegiate Athletic Conference athlete of the week honors in their respective sports, the league announced Sept. 17.

Burroughs (Richmond, Ind./Northeastern High School) is the KIAC Volleyball Player of the Week after helping IU East to a 4-0 record at the Olivet Nazarene University Homestead/Holiday Inn Express Invite this past weekend.

Burroughs totaled 35 kills and had a hand in 14 blocks in the four matches. She represented IU East on the all-tournament team.

Froman is the KIAC Women's Tennis Player of the Week after winning two of three singles matches and also earning a No. 1 doubles win this past week.

She won her No. 1 singles match against Asbury by a 6-0, 6-0 score.

Burroughs won the KIAC Volleyball Player of the Week award for the fourth time.

Froman is the KIAC Women's Tennis Player of the Week for the first time.

The IU East volleyball team hosts KIAC opponents Brescia University and Point Park University on Sept. 22 at Seton Catholic High School.
