RICHMOND, Ind. - Freshman Katie Lahmann (Richmond, Ind./Richmond High School) finished 13th in her debut race to highlight the day for the Indiana University East cross country teams on Sept. 29 at the Earlham College Invitational.

Lahmann finished the 5K women's race in 22:01. IU East, which was able to field a full team for the first time this season, finished fifth in the team standings.

Sophomore Seth Prince (Albany, Ind./Delta High School) was 27th in 30:12 and junior Aaron Mayers (Lynn, Ind./Randolph Southern High School) was 28th in 30:37 for the Red Wolves men, who were unable to post a team score due to a mid-race injury.

"There is some room for improvement, but this week we dealt with a lot of injuries," said IU East coach Brett Crowley. "The team is disappointed, but this is a long season, and we ran against tough competition which can only help us get better."

Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology won the men's team title. Eric Linn of Anderson University won the men's race in 27:14.

Anderson won the women's team title. The Ravens' Desiree Maran won the women's race in 20:30.
