The Red Wolves saved their best for last.

All three Indiana University East golfers improved their scores Oct. 3 on the final day of the Auld Crafters Kisor Classic in Pataskala, Ohio.

The meet concluded the IU East women's golf fall season.

Freshman Courtney Barlage (Versailles, Ohio/Versailles High School) shot 91 in the final round and finished with a two-day score of 185. Barlage tied for 33rd in the 12-team tournament. Freshman Allyson Kenworthy (Hagerstown, Ind./Hagerstown High School) shot a 104 in the final round and finished with a two-day score of 211. Kenworthy finished 57th. Freshman Kelli Moore (Arcanum, Ohio/Franklin Monroe High School) shot a fall-best 117 in the final round for a two-day total of 240. Moore finished 70th.

"They weren't our best scores of the year, but we had some inclement weather to deal with and we were trying to play on a course with bunkers full of water and where the balls were rolling slowly because of wet grass and greens," IU East coach Von Ebeling said. "And then you had to use different strategies when the greens were drier later in the day.

"It was also cold. They were bundled up in two or three layers, and sometimes that can affect your swing and scores. Not too many people were out there wearing short sleeves and shorts because the weather was pretty bitter for that time of year."

Walsh University won the tournament with a two-day total of 647.

Walsh's Nikki Kulasa was medalist with a two-day total of 153.
