ANDERSON, Ind. - Three Indiana University East track and field athletes won their events with school-record marks to highlight the Red Wolves' performance at the Anderson University Raven Invitational on April 6.

Redshirt senior Kait Ervin (West Alexandria, Ohio/Twin Valley South High School) won the discus with a school-record throw of 39.5 meters (about 129-7).

Redshirt senior David Sanders (Indianapolis, Ind./Beech Grove High School) won the 400 meter dash with a school-record run of 51.01.

Freshman Kyle Hall (Dillsboro, Ind./South Dearborn High School) won the 800 meter run with a school-record mark of 2:02.81.

IU East has recorded at least one first-place finish in all four of the program's appearances at the Anderson University Raven Invitational.

Both IU East teams finished fifth in the team standings.

The Red Wolves also got school records from sophomore Kesla Klingler (Hollansburg, Ohio/Tri-Village High School) in the 1,500 meter run, junior Aaron Myers (Lynn, Ind./Randolph Southern High School) in the 3,000 meter steeplechase, and the men's 4x400 meter relay team of Sanders, Hall, redshirt junior Jordan Weatherford (Indianapolis, Ind./Lawrence Central High School) and freshman Cameron Jones (Richmond, Ind./Richmond High School).

"A terrible headwind today did not allow the stopwatch to reflect our efforts, but altogether we made progress again," said IU East coach Brett Crowley. "Another solid effort."

Bethel won the men's and women's team titles.

The Red Wolves compete at the Little State Invitational at Indiana Wesleyan University on April 12 and 13.
