It was another weekend of firsts for the Indiana University East women's golf program.
The first-year Red Wolves program fielded a full team for the first time Sept. 19 at the Manchester College Fall Golf Invitational.
IU East also finished ahead of another school for the first time.
The Red Wolves finished eighth of nine teams in the 18-hole competition at Honeywell Golf Club in Wabash with a score of 445.
Courtney Barlage (Versailles, Ohio/Versailles High School), who became the first IU East golfer to take part in an intercollegiate competition when she played as an individual at the University of Northwestern Ohio Racer Invitational, led the Red Wolves at Manchester with a 94.
Allyson Kenworthy (Hagerstown, Ind./Hagerstown High School) carded a 100. Kelli Moore (Arcanum, Ohio/Franklin Monroe High School) shot 122. Whitney Fisher (Hagerstown, Ind./Hagerstown High School) rounded out the lineup with a 129.
Bethel College won the tournament with a 332. Bethel's Melanie Day was medalist with an 81.
The Red Wolves conclude their short fall season with the Auld Crafters Kisor Classic on Oct. 2-3 in Pataskala, Ohio.
