
The irresistible force meets the immovable object Oct. 20 at Seton Catholic High School when the Indiana University East volleyball team hosts Ohio Dominican University at 7 p.m.
The Red Wolves (20-8) have impressive attacking statistics, including the top kills per game average in the Kentucky Intercollegiate Athletic Conference.
The Panthers (16-13) shine in the defensive statistics. ODU is seventh in the entire NAIA in digs per game and 40th in the NAIA in blocks per game.
Ohio Dominican beat IU East in four games last season. The Panthers bring a four-game winning streak into this match.
"They're a good program," Red Wolves coach Charlie Brown said. "They're a good team, and they're winning matches. We had to play our tails off to get to four sets last year.
"We've got to bring our �A' game."
The Red Wolves, who have won two straight after losing four of five, are on the verge of some notable milestones
IU East can tie the program's NAIA-era record for wins in a season with a victory. The 2007 team won 21 matches.
Freshman outside hitter Breezy Strete (Troy, Ohio/Troy High School) is on the verge of breaking the school record for kills in a season. Strete has 311 kills. The record is 314, set by Amy Stultz in 2008.
Freshman setter Lauren Crump (Indianapolis, Ind./Scecina Memorial High School) is 41st in the NAIA in assists per game with 9.5.
