WILMORE, Ky. - Shelby Good won her singles flight to highlight the final day of the River States Conference Individual Tournament for the Indiana University East women's tennis team on Sept. 9.

Good won 6-1, 6-4 in the championship match of the "Black" bracket against an opponent from Indiana University Southeast.

The singles and doubles tournament at Asbury University featured players from six of the River States Conference's eight women's tennis programs.


* Bri Ayres was runner-up in the "White" bracket.

* Morgan Jackson, Kaylin Venezia, Brooklyn Hubbard and Krystal Schmidt all finished third in their respective singles brackets.


* IU East players were 15-9 in singles matches and 6-4 in doubles matches for the weekend.


"An intense and large amount of competitive tennis this weekend at the River States Conference Women's Individual Tennis Tournament. All of the participating universities have significantly improved their women's tennis team rosters. This resulted in tough, hard, fun matches for everyone. The Red Wolves represented themselves well with good wins in all the flights. Shelby Good's win in her flight was a great way to start her college tennis career!
