RICHMOND, Ind. - The Indiana University East volleyball team knocked off Anderson University on Sept. 12 in the Red Wolves' "Blackout" match.

IU East improved to 6-12 with a 25-23, 16-25, 25-21, 25-16 victory on Lingle Court.

Anderson is 4-6.

KEY MOMENTS

* Taylor McKinney's kill clinched the back-and-forth first set for IU East.

* Sophie Rogers contributed two kills and an ace to a 9-2 Red Wolf surge that gave IU East an 18-9 lead in the third set.

* The Red Wolves took command of the fourth set by winning 17 of 23 points to start the set.

* Red Wolf fans contributed to IU East's "Howl for Houston" hurricane relief efforts with donations at the gate area and during the "Serve for SAAC" contest.

NUMBERS OF NOTE

* IU East hit for a .268 average or better in the three sets it won.

* Bre Kopke and Taylor McKinney combined for 27 of IU East's 53 kills.

* Madison Yoder and Samantha Wigfield combined for 36 digs.

* Bailey Gates had a hand in five blocks.
