UPLAND, Ind. - The Indiana University East volleyball team fell 25-21, 25-17, 25-23 at Taylor University on Sept. 20.

The Red Wolves (8-13) had a four-match winning streak snapped. Taylor is 12-4.


* IU East held multiple leads late in the third set, but Taylor finished the set on a 6-2 surge to wrap up the match.


* Taylor McKinney and Bre Kopke put away six kills apiece.

* Madison Yoder and Samantha Wigfield made 13 digs apiece.

* IU East couldn't overcome more than a set worth of hitting errors (28).

* Taylor had a 10-6 advantage in blocks.


"It just wasn't our night. We weren't prepared for the block that Taylor put up and struggled to fight back against it. They're a solid team, and we knew this game was going to be tough. We are looking to bounce back for our game Saturday." - IU East coach Abby Niekamp
