IU East repeated at the Earlham Invitational.

RICHMOND, Ind. - The Indiana University East women's golf team made it back-to-back titles at the Earlham College Fall Invitational on Oct. 1.

The Red Wolves wrapped up the 36-hole event at Forest Hills Country Club with a team score of 696, 37 strokes ahead of runner-up Indiana University Kokomo.

Bre Nowak defended her individual title at the event with a 36-hole score of 158.

KEY MOMENTS

* IU East golfers posted three of the top four scores. Lexie Fields tied for second and Hannah Johnson tied for fourth.

* IU East has also won two consecutive tournaments overall. The Red Wolves added this trophy to the one they won at the Quail Ridge Invitational in Michigan in mid-September. IU East won consecutive events for the first time.

NUMBERS OF NOTE

* Nowak carded the best individual score of both rounds.

* Fields had the second-best score of Round 1. Johnson posted the second-best score of Round 2.

* Five of the Red Wolves improved their scores in the second round.
