
WILMORE, Ky. - The Indiana University East volleyball team is one win away from the Kentucky Intercollegiate Athletic Conference tournament title.
The top-seeded Red Wolves reached the KIAC tourney title match with a 25-19, 25-13, 25-20 victory against No. 4 seed Cincinnati Christian University in the semifinal round Nov. 14 at Asbury College.
IU East (29-11) faces No. 2 seed Indiana University Southeast or No. 3 seed Asbury in the title match at 4 p.m. Nov. 14.
The Red Wolves won their ninth straight. CC finished 13-15.
Freshman outside hitter Breezy Strete (Troy, Ohio/Troy High School) led IU East with seven kills. Freshman setter Lauren Crump (Indianapolis, Ind./Scecina Memorial High School) distributed 26 assists. Sophomore libero Madison Qualkenbush (New Castle, Ind./New Castle High School) made 25 digs. Sophomore outside hitter Courtney Flory put away six kills and had a season-best two block solos and four block assists.
