
The Red Wolves will strive for five on Nov. 17.
The Indiana University East men's basketball team seeks to extend a pair of winning streaks to five when it hosts Ohio Christian University at 8 p.m. on Nov. 17 at the Richmond High School Tiernan Center.
The Red Wolves (4-3) look for their fifth consecutive victory overall, as well as their fifth win in a row against the Trailblazers (2-1). Ohio Christian is a National Christian Collegiate Athletic Association (NCCAA) program.A pair of senior guards headline the Trailblazers roster. Senior guard Rickshontae Spell was a second-team NCCAA All-American for Ohio Christian last season. Senior guard Stefan Vasiloff was a first-team All-American selection by the Association of Christian College Athletics.
Junior guard Tyler Rigby (Bryant, Ind./Jay County High School) leads IU East at 15.1 ppg, including a 25-point outburst in the Red Wolves' 80-74 home win against Purdue University North Central on Nov. 14.
"We look forward to having an opportunity to execute our half-court offense better, and we hope we can guard them in the half court," said IU East coach Mark Hester.
The game is scheduled to be televised by Whitewater Community Television, WCTV, Comcast Channel 20.
The IU East and Ohio Christian junior varsity teams will play at 6 p.m.
VOLLEYBALL TEAM TO BE HONORED
The Indiana University East volleyball team will be recognized at halftime of the Red Wolves' home men's basketball game on Nov. 17 at 8 p.m. The IU East volleyball team will play in an NAIA National Championship Opening Round match on Nov. 21 at Taylor University. The Red Wolves won the program's first Kentucky Intercollegiate Athletic Conference tournament title this past weekend. A send-off celebration for the Red Wolves volleyball team is planned for 4 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 19, at the Graf Center in Springwood Hall on the IU East campus.
