The Indiana University East volleyball team beat Cedarville University and Indiana University Southeast as part of its 8-0 start.

Now, can the Red Wolves do it again?

IU East faces Cedarville and IU Southeast for the second time this season on Sept. 11, the first day of the Cedarville University Invitational.

The Red Wolves play the host Yellow Jackets at 3 p.m. and face the Grenadiers at 5 p.m.

The Red Wolves will play St. Xavier University at 9:30 a.m. and the University of St. Francis at 11 a.m. to conclude the tournament Sept. 12.

"They're going to know who we are now, and they are going to come at us hard," said IU East coach Charlie Brown, whose team is picking up votes in the NAIA national volleyball poll.

"This team will have to grow some this weekend. They've got to realize they've got a target on their back now. That's what happens when you win."

Cedarville is 3-7, but had 10 days to prepare for the rematch against IU East. IU Southeast is 5-3, the second-best overall record in the Kentucky Intercollegiate Athletic Conference behind the Red Wolves. St. Xavier is 6-4 and riding a three-match winning streak. St. Francis is 2-1, with both wins against KIAC schools (Asbury College and Cincinnati Christian University).

Brown calls this weekend his team's third "biggest test of the season." The Red Wolves passed their first two "biggest tests" with an undefeated weekend at the season-opening Grace College Ramada Plaza Tournament and three more wins during a trip to Rio Grande University in late August.

"If we can get through this one, we're going to start making believers out of people," Brown said.
