Tyler Rigby was named KIAC Player of the Week.

It's as reliable as a Tyler Rigby jump shot.

When Rigby gets close to a milestone, the Kentucky Intercollegiate Athletic Conference takes notice.

Rigby (Bryant, Ind./Jay County High School) received the KIAC's Player of the Week honor for the second time this season and fourth time in his IU East career, the conference announced Feb. 8.

Rigby, a junior guard for the Red Wolves, was honored for the week of Feb. 1-7.

Rigby received the KIAC's weekly honor in January after he broke IU East's NAIA career scoring record.

Rigby's latest KIAC honor comes as he closes in on the 1,000 point mark for his IU East career.

Rigby has 967 points at IU East and is 33 short of 1,000.

Rigby ranks 25th in the NAIA Division II at 19.3 points per game. He also ranks 18th in the NAIA Division II in 3-point field goal percentage at .436.

He has scored at least 20 points in 12 consecutive games. The streak includes 26-point efforts this past week in IU East's win Feb. 1 against Berea College and the Red Wolves' loss Feb. 4 at Asbury College.

IU East hosts Brescia University on Feb. 9 at 7 p.m. in the Richmond High School Tiernan Center.
