
The Red Wolves' first NAIA home postseason contest will stay in the Richmond community.
The Indiana University East men's basketball team will play Asbury College at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 23 in the Earlham College Athletics & Wellness Center.
The contest is a Kentucky Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Tournament quarterfinal.IU East (14-13, 6-7) is the No. 4 seed for the eight-team KIAC Tournament. Asbury (14-16, 6-7) is the No. 5 seed.
The Red Wolves won the tiebreaker over the Eagles by virtue of a better record against conference regular season champion Indiana University Southeast.
IU East typically plays its home games at Richmond High School, but KIAC Tournament games must be played on a college-length floor.
"We really want to thank Earlham College for making this happen," said IU East athletic director and basketball coach Mark Hester.
"It's a big opportunity for us to keep our program's first NAIA home postseason game in the Richmond community."
Gates will open at 6 p.m. Admission is $7.
Anyone age 18 or younger will be admitted free.
IU East students also will be admitted free, but must present their IU East ID and must sign in at the gate.
The IU East-Asbury winner will face No. 1 seed IU Southeast or No. 8 seed St. Louis College of Pharmacy in a KIAC Tournament semifinal at 6 p.m. Friday, Feb. 26 at the Frankfort Convention Center in Frankfort, Ky.
The KIAC Tournament championship game is 4 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 27 at the Frankfort Convention Center.
IU East reached the KIAC Tournament championship game last season.
