
Noah Douglas' strong finish for the Indiana University East men's basketball team caught the attention of the entire Kentucky Intercollegiate Athletic Conference.
Douglas was named the KIAC Player of the Week for the week of Feb. 15-21, the league announced Feb. 22.
Douglas broke IU East's NAIA season and career record for double-doubles with double-digit efforts in points and rebounds in the Red Wolves' final two regular season games.Douglas scored 17 points and grabbed 11 rebounds in IU East's game Feb. 18 against Brescia University.
He concluded the regular season with 19 points and 15 rebounds on Feb. 20 in the Red Wolves' win against Indiana University Southeast.
Douglas has eight double-doubles in his senior season. The previous IU East NAIA season and career record for double-doubles was seven, established by Bryant Withers during the 2007-08 season.
Douglas also scored 14 points as IU East started the week with a win against Cincinnati Christian University on Feb. 16.
Douglas is averaging 12.5 points per game and team-best 7.0 rebounds per game.
He ranks 21st in the NAIA Division II in field goal percentage at .563.
The Red Wolves host Asbury College in a KIAC Tournament quarterfinal at 7 p.m. on Feb. 23 at Earlham College.
