Indiana University East junior Vanessa Legg's week included a first, a second and now an impressive third.

Legg (Lynn, Ind./Randolph Southern High School), who won the high jump and finished second in the 100 at the Anderson University Raven Outdoor Invitational, was named Kentucky Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Women's Field Athlete of the Week.

The league announced the honor April 19.

It's the third KIAC weekly honor for Legg this season.

Legg became IU East's first NAIA track and field athlete to win an event at any meet when she took first place in the high jump at the Raven Outdoor Invitational.

Legg bested a field of four with a leap of 1.52 meters (about 4-10).

Legg has three top-four finishes in the high jump this season. She has finished no lower than eighth.

Legg also finished second out of four in the 100 with a time of 13.89. It was Legg's first 100 of the season.

Legg added a sixth-place finish in the 200 with a time of 29.27.

Legg and the Red Wolves will compete in the KIAC meet April 24 at Berea College.
