Indiana University East sophomore Kait Ervin picked up a second Kentucky Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Women's Field Athlete of the Week certificate to go along with her two KIAC champion medals.

Ervin (West Alexandria, Ohio/Twin Valley South High School) was named KIAC Women's Field Athlete of the Week for the second time this season, the league announced April 26.

Ervin won the shot put and the discus at the KIAC meet at Berea College on April 24.

Ervin posted personal bests in both events. She won the shot with a throw of 10.28 meters (about 33-9) and won the discus with a throw of 33.63 meters (about 110-4).

She was one of four multi-event winners at the KIAC meet.

It was IU East's first appearance at the KIAC meet.

Ervin and IU East junior Vanessa Legg (Lynn, Ind./Randolph Southern High School) have swept all of the KIAC Field Athlete of the Week honors this spring.
