It was all worth it.
Noah Douglas said all of the work toward his his Indiana University East degree paid off when he walked across the stage and received his diploma on May 14.
Douglas (Indianapolis, Ind./Warren Central High School) graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration.
"It was all worth it in the end," Douglas said a few days after the ceremony.
"A lot of people don't love school, but it's worth it once you complete your degree."
Douglas was the pride of the IU East athletic department during the IU East commencement ceremony May 14 in the Richmond High School Tiernan Center.

Douglas was part of the Red Wolves men's basketball program during his two years at IU East.
He averaged 12.5 points per game and set school records for field goal percentage and double-doubles during his senior season.
The most important accomplishment: He completed his degree.
"I do feel a little different now," Douglas said. "I don't have to worry about homework until I go back for grad school! Other than that, it feels about the same."
Douglas plans to gain work experience in his field and to pursue a master's degree in Business Administration.
He eventually hopes to run his own business offering clothing for people with athletic builds who wear hard-to-find sizes.
He'll always have happy memories from his graduation day.
"What I'll remember most is when I got up on stage and got my diploma," he said.
