Jenny Fralick has danced under the bright lights of Ball State University's Worthen Arena and led the cheers at sold-out Indianapolis Colts games.

Now she'll bring her expertise to the Indiana University East dance team.

IU East appointed Fralick to coach the school's dance team starting with the 2010-11 school year.

"Hopefully we will have a strong group of girls who have dance experience who will be willing to come in and try hard and work hard and improve the overall program," Fralick said.

Fralick has danced since age 5 and taught dance since age 15.

Fralick graduated from Centerville High School in 2002. She was part of the Bulldogs' cheerleading squad during her high school career.

She earned a bachelor of applied science in exercise science from Ball State University in 2006. She was part of the dance team during her time at Ball State.

Fralick was an Indianapolis Colts cheerleader during the 2004 and 2005 NFL seasons. (She missed the Colts' Super Bowl championship season by one year).

She has conducted several cheer and dance clinics in recent years.

Fralick is married to Richie Fralick. They have a 1-year-old daughter, Madison.

Fralick plans to conduct tryouts for the 2010-11 IU East dance team soon after the start of the fall semester.

She also hopes to conduct a dance clinic during the summer.

IU East students interested in participating on the dance team should contact Fralick at 765-969-2773 or e-mail jlfralic@indiana.edu.
