The Red Wolves maintained a spot in the top half of the Kentucky Intercollegiate Athletic Conference pack.

Indiana University East finished fourth in the KIAC Commissioner's Cup all-sports standings for the 2009-10 school year, the league recently announced.

The Red Wolves also finished fourth in the inaugural Commissioner's Cup standings during the 2008-09 school year.

"For the new kid on the block in the KIAC to finish in the top half of the all-sports standings with a new intercollegiate athletics program is really quite an accomplishment," said IU East athletic director Mark Hester.

"Our coaches and student-athletes are working as hard as they can to help IU East move up in the KIAC all-sports standings next year."

The KIAC All-Sports Trophy uses an average of a team's regular season performance to determine a winner. The format is based on an 10 to 1 scale with the regular season winner in each sport earning 10 points, all the way down to one point for 10th place.

Indiana University Southeast won the Commissioner's Cup for the second consecutive season.
