
The Red Wolves get to play with the big girls during the 2010 volleyball season.
The 2010 Indiana University East volleyball schedule includes six matches against teams that received votes in the final 2009 Tachikara-NAIA Coaches' Top 25 Volleyball Poll.
Red Wolves coach Charlie Brown released IU East's 2010 volleyball schedule Aug. 5.

"You've got to play better in order to get better, and that's exactly what we've done with this year's scheduling," Brown said.
"It's a big jump, but we're on the 'big' playground now. No one could deny that if they looked at the strength of our schedule."
The Red Wolves are coming off of a 30-12 season that included the program's first Kentucky Intercollegiate Athletic Conference regular season and tournament championships. IU East concluded the 2009 season with an appearance in the NAIA Volleyball National Championship.
Three of IU East's matches against teams that received votes in the final 2009 Tachikara-NAIA Coaches' Top 25 Volleyball Poll will be Oct. 15 and 16 at the University of St. Francis/Asics Munciana Invitational at Asics Munciana Volleyball Center in Yorktown, Ind.

Oct. 16 vs. Madonna University (at Asics Munciana)
"If we are committed to becoming one of the top teams in the country then we've got to start competing with the top teams in the country and at that level day in and day out!" Brown said.
IU East's 2010 schedule includes 10 home matches at Seton Catholic High School's Chuck Mosey Memorial Gym, including the home opener Sept. 15 against Indiana Wesleyan University.
The Red Wolves played four home matches at Seton in 2009 and received positive reviews.
"I think all would agree that the whole experience was a real ‘win-win' for both IUE and SCHS," the Seton Catholic High School "Cardinal Captions" newsletter reported.
Seton Catholic High School is located at 233 South Fifth Street in Richmond.
IU East will play eight regular season KIAC matches in defense of its regular season conference title.
The KIAC Tournament currently is scheduled for Nov. 12 and 13 at Brescia University in Owensboro, Ky.
The Red Wolves will prepare for their season-opening Grace College Ramada Plaza Tournament Aug. 20 and 21 with scrimmages Aug. 14 at Clark State Community College and Aug. 18 at Indiana Institute of Technology.
