Join the Red Wolves for a run this fall!
Indiana University East cross country coach Pam Mertz released the Red Wolves' 2010 schedules Aug. 30.
IU East's teams will take part in seven regular season events leading up to the Kentucky Intercollegiate Athletic Conference meet scheduled for Nov. 6 at Asbury University.
The Red Wolves open their season Sept. 2 at the A-J Special at Asbury University.
History will be made Sept. 7 when the Red Wolves host Cincinnati Christian University in the first intercollegiate meet at the new Indiana University East Cross Country Course.
It will be the first on-campus NAIA intercollegiate athletics event in IU East's history.
The race starts at 5 p.m.
A grand opening ceremony for the course will be held at 4:30 p.m. on Sept. 7 on the Hayes Hall patio.
IU East will recognize the cross country course's signature sponsor, Reid Hospital & Health Care Services.
The IU East Cross Country Course finish line is between Hayes Hall and Tom Raper Hall.
You have one more chance to see the Red Wolves run in Richmond this season. IU East will compete in the Earlham College Invitational on Oct. 2.
The Red Wolves' four other regular season meets are at various locations in Indiana, Ohio and Kentucky.
"We're running in small meets and large meets. We're running against NCAA Division I teams. We're running on our conference meet course," Mertz said.
"All of this is to get us ready for the conference and hopefully national meets."
The NAIA National Championships are Nov. 20 in Vancouver, Wash.
