KENDALLVILLE, Ind. - If the Indiana University East men's golf team made a movie about the University of St. Francis Invitational, they might well call it "Tough and Tougher."

The Red Wolves finished 11th out of 12 teams at the two-day tournament, which concluded Aug. 31.

The opening round was held at the difficult Cobblestone Golf Course.

The final round took place on an even tougher layout at Noble Hawk Golf Links.

"A really tough course," said Red Wolves coach Von Ebeling. "All of the guys were saying it was one of the toughest courses they had played.

"The greens were running fast again, and the fairways were quite narrow, especially on the back nine."

The Red Wolves carded a 337 in the final round on the par 71, 6,817-yard course at Noble Hawk.

IU East finished with a two-day total of 667.

Freshman Wes Drees (Versailles, Ohio/Versailles High School) led IU East with a two-day score of 154. Drees led IU East with a 76 in the final round. He tied for 26th place.
