
Indiana University East junior volleyball player Paige Lay (Bloomington/Normal, Ill/Parkland College) repeated as the Kentucky Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Volleyball Player of the Week, the league announced Nov. 15.
Lay was honored for helping the 27th-ranked Red Wolves defend their KIAC Tournament title.
Lay tallied 21 kills with a .667 hitting percentage in the KIAC Tournament championship match against Asbury University.
Lay totaled 44 kills and a .580 hitting percentage during three tournament games.
Lay is the fourth IU East player to win the KIAC's weekly volleyball honor this season.
Breezy Strete (week of Sept. 6), Lauren Crump (week of Oct. 11) and Caitlin Burroughs (weeks of Sept. 27 and Oct. 25) also have been KIAC Player of the Week this season.
IU East plays at No. 26 Shawnee State in an NAIA Volleyball National Championship Opening Round match on Nov. 20.
Shawnee State has announced a 2 p.m. start time.
