2009 Men's Cross Country Coaches
Pam Mertz - Head Coach - 1st Season
Pam Mertz was appointed as IU East men's and women's cross country coach in August of 2009.Mertz is a well-known figure in the Richmond area running scene.
Mertz qualified for the Indiana state finals in cross country and track and field as a high school athlete at Hagerstown High School. She competed in cross country and indoor and outdoor track and field at Ball State University. She assisted with the Hagerstown girls program in 1996 and 1997.
Mertz is a six-time champion of the Wayne County Challenge, a local running series.
