IU East Honored by NAIA
RICHMOND, Ind. - Indiana University East was honored recently by the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) as the Red Wolves received the Champions of Character Five-Star Institution Award for 2023-2024.
"We are excited to receive this national award," Red Wolves Associate Athletic Director Nick Fortini said. "This honor is a testament of the commitment that our student-athletes and coaches have to make IU East successful."
NAIA schools use the Champions of Character core report to measure the pursuit of character-driven athletics. IU East scored 100 points to earn a Gold designation.
The River States Conference was one of 20 leagues to also be recognized. Along with IU East, IU Columbus, IU Southeast, Midway University, Oakland City University, Ohio Christian University and St. Mary-of-the-Woods College also had perfect scores.
