Scales Receives Award from River States Conference
RICHMOND, Ind. - Indiana University East's Tim Scales was selected as the River States Conference Faculty Athletics Representative of the Year for 2025-26 as the league announced the honor on Wednesday, July 8.
"Serving at the Faculty Athletics Representative (FAR) for IU East is very rewarding," Scales said. "It affords me the opportunity to interact with the coaches and the athletic administrators, support the student athletes, represent the faculty and staff while connecting with the community."
A Senior Lecturer in the IU East School of Business and Economics, Scales is also the Director of the Center for Entrepreneurship with 28 years of teaching experience.
Scales conducts on-campus and on-line classes as well as mentoring several students around the globe. His teaching areas include Economics, Marketing, Entrepreneurship and Personal Finance. An award-winning program for Scales is The BOSS (Business Opportunities for Self-Starters), which empowers youth with the tools and resources to create their ideas for innovation and entrepreneurship.
