Men's Basketball: Smith, Silcott and Lafeuillee on All-RSC list
MIDDLETOWN, Ohio - In the first of multiple postseason honors expected to come his way, Indiana University East senior Bishop Smith earned first-team All-River States Conference honors on the men's basketball all-league teams announced March 2.
IU East's Garrett Silcott and Jehu Lafeuillee earned second-team all-conference honors.
The all-conference teams are determined by a vote of the league's 12 head coaches. Twenty total players earn all-conference accolades, with 10 players on the first team and 10 on the second team.
Smith recently moved to the top of the IU East men's basketball NAIA career points list and also is tied for the program record for most career wins with 110. He is 18th in the nation with 21.8 points per game, second in the nation with 4.0 3-pointers per game, 37th in the nation with 4.1 assists per game and 38th in the nation with a .437 3-point field goal percentage.
Silcott averages 15.0 points per game. He is also 20th in the nation with a 2.89-to-1 assist-to-turnover ratio, 31st in the nation with 4.2 assists per game and 44th in the nation with 1.7 steals per game.
Lafeuillee averages 10.6 points per game. He leads IU East with 7.7 rebounds per game and is 20th in the nation with 1.7 blocks per game.
Brady Smith represented IU East on the RSC Champions of Character team.
IU East (22-10) hosts the River States Conference Championship title game against Indiana University Kokomo on March 3. Tipoff is at 7 p.m. on Lingle Court.
