Men's Basketball: Brescia at IU East Preview

RICHMOND, Ind. - The Indiana University East men's basketball team returns home as the Red Wolves welcome Brescia University to Lingle Court on Saturday, Feb. 11.

The River States Conference affair gets underway at 3 p.m.

IU East is now 13-12 overall and 7-8 in the conference after at 97-82 victory at Oakland City University 97-82 on Tuesday, Feb. 7.

Brescia is 9-10 and 6-9 after a 59-58 home loss to Oakland City on Thursday, Feb. 9

General admission for IU East basketball is $7. IU East students, faculty and staff are admitted free with their university ID.

* Oakland City is the most recent opponent for IU East and Brescia.

* IU East leads Brescia 16-6 in the all-time series with the Red Wolves taking the last nine in a row.

* The Red Wolves won 77-73 in overtime earlier this season at Brescia. Colt Meyer led the Red Wolves with 32 points, while Jake Johnson had 20.

* At Oakland City, Johnson posted a season-high 34 points with eight rebounds for the Red Wolves. Meyer added 21 points, Bryce Long finished with 20. Jamisen Smith had 13 points and seven rebounds.

* Tay Smith led Brescia with 11 points against Oakland City. He had 21 points in the earlier matchup against IU East.
