Men's Basketball: IU East at IU Southeast Preview

RICHMOND, Ind. - The Indiana University East men's basketball team is set to play its final road contest of the regular season at IU Southeast on Tuesday, Feb. 14.

The River States Conference matchup between the in-state rivals begins at 7:30 p.m.

With two straight victories, IU East is now 14-12 overall and 8-8 in the conference. The Red Wolves defeated Brescia University 86-82 on Lingle Court last Saturday, Feb. 11.

IU Southeast has won nine games in a row as the Grenadiers are 17-8 overall and 12-4 in the league. IU Southeast is coming off an 89-75 win over IU Kokomo last weekend.

YOU OUGHT TO KNOW

* IU East is 11-17 in the all-time series with IU Southeast.

* The Red Wolves have won eight of the last nine contests against the Grenadiers including a 96-89 decision on Lingle Court back in December. Tobey Billups led IU East with 22 points and eight assists, while Colt Meyer also had 22 points. Christian Stewart had 28 points and 13 rebounds for IU Southeast versus IU East.

* Jake Johnson led IU East with 26 points against Brescia as he also grabbed seven rebounds. Meyer (19), Bryce Long (14) and Jamisen Smith (13) also were in double figures for the Red Wolves. Kobe Ward finished with 19 rebounds.

* Glenn Hill topped IU Southeast with 20 points and eight rebounds in the victory over IU Kokomo.
