Men's Basketball: SMWC 87, IU East 72
ST. MARY-OF-THE-WOODS, Ind. - The Indiana University East men's basketball team fell 87-72 at St. Mary-of-the-Woods College on Tuesday, Feb. 8.
The Red Wolves are 7-17 overall and 3-11 in the River States Conference. With its fourth win in a row, SMWC is 18-5, 12-1.
Colt Meyer led IU East with 33 points, which was his fifth 30-point outing of the season.
Jake Johnson and Antuane Allen both finished with 11 points.
The Red Wolves led for most of the first half as Meyer had 21 points at the intermission as IU East was on top 35-32.
In the second half, the affair was tight as the Red Wolves led 48-45 with 12:21 remaining.
SMWC went on a 12-point run to grab a 57-48 advantage as the Pomeroys would lead the rest of the way.
IU East will play its third straight road game as the Red Wolves visit Oakland City University on Tuesday, Feb. 13. The RSC contest gets underway at 7:30 p.m.
