Men's Basketball: Shawnee State 76, IU East 70

RICHMOND, Ind. - The Indiana University East men's basketball team fell 76-70 in a River States Conference matchup at Shawnee State University on Tuesday, Feb. 10.

IU East is now 11-14 overall and 3-10 in the league, while Shawnee State is 21-4 and 13-0 in the conference.

The game was tight throughout the contest in Waller Gymnasium as the Bears were able to lead 43-40 at the intermission before hanging on for their 12th straight win.

Mikey Johnson led the Red Wolves with 20 points.

Tarrell Jewell finished with 15 points as he topped IU East with eight rebounds.

Kyle Tolbert added 11 points as Caleb Maurer tossed in 10.

The Red Wolves return to action at home against IU Southeast on Saturday, Feb. 14. Part of doubleheader, the game is scheduled to start at 3 p.m.
