Men's Golf: IU East at Heritage Hill Collegiate Day 1 Recap

SHEPHERDSVILLE, Ky. - The Indiana University East men's golf team is sixth after the first day of the Heritage Hill Collegiate on Saturday, March 25.

Tournament host Lawrence Tech University leads the field of 11 schools with a 289, while the Red Wolves had 313 on the course at the Heritage Hill Golf Club.

Saturday's opening round was all that was completed of the planned 36 holes. The action resumes on Sunday as the teams will finish the second round before the scheduled final round.

Jake Miller led IU East with a 76, which has him in a tie for 18th on the individual leaderboard.

Alex Beatty was next for the Red Wolves with a 78 that puts him in a tie for 29th.

One shot back of Beatty in a tie for 32nd is Emiliano Tercero with a 79.

Austin Shelley and Sam Firebaugh both carded 80 to finish in a tie for 38th. Bailey Moistner had an 86 for the Red Wolves and he is in a tie for 53rd.
