Men's Golf: IU East at Alice Lloyd Spring Invitational Day 1 Recap
RICHMOND, Ky. - The Indiana University East golf men's golf team is on top of the leaderboard after the opening day of the Alice Lloyd College Spring Invitational on Saturday, March 21.
The Red Wolves carded a team score of 280 at the Battlefield Golf Club as IU Southeast is second with 289.
The Defiance College "B" team is third in the 13-team field with a score of 293. IU East's "B" squad is 10th at 308.
Sam Firebaugh led IU East with a 68, which has him in third place behind Union Commonwealth University's Luke Townhill (66) and IU Southeast's Westin Allen (67).
IU East's other scores were Noah Mulford (69, T4th), Landon True (71, T7th), Dare Bowles (72, T9th) and Kylan Nash (73, T15th).
Ryan Craig (72, T9th) led the second team followed by Braden Tedder (75, T21st), Nick Brubaker (80, T44th), Zach Rutan (81, T46th) and Riley Bratton (83, T52nd). Brady Geis (79, T40th) is playing as an individual.
Sunday's final round gets underway with a shotgun start at 9 a.m.
