Men's Golf: IU East Wins Alice Lloyd Spring Invitational
RICHMOND, Ky. - The Indiana University East golf men's golf team started 2026 with a victory at the Alice Lloyd College Spring Invitational on Sunday, March 22.
IU East backed up its first-round lead for a two-over par team score of 280-282-562 in the two-day event at the Battlefield Golf Club. IU Southeast was second in the 10-school affair at 289-304-593. IU Southeast's Westin Allen was the medalist at 67-70-137.
The Red Wolves had four players make the all-tournament team as Dare Bowles led the way with a 72-67-139 to finish second on the individual leaderboard.
Sam Firebaugh (68-72-140) was third as Noah Mulford (69-72-141) was fourth. Landon True (71-71-142) tied for fifth with Kylan Nash (73-72-145) ending in a tie for 11th.
Ryan Craig (72-75-147) led the IU East "B" team with a 15th place finish as the squad overall was sixth at 308-299-607.
IU East's other scores for the second team were Braden Tedder (75-76-151, T19th), Nick Brubaker (80-73-153, T23rd), Riley Bratton (83-75-158, T34th) and Zach Rutan (81-87-168-54th). Brady Geis (79-81-160, 41st) played as an individual.
Next up for the Red Wolves is a return to Kentucky for the Midway University Eagle Invitational on March 30-31.
