Men's Golf: IU East at Midway Eagle Invitational Day 1 Recap
LEXINGTON, Ky. - The Indiana University East golf men's golf team sits in third place after the first round of the Midway University Eagle Invitational on Monday, March 30.
Marian University leads the 11-team affair with a score of 290 with Kentucky State University second at 297. IU East had 312 on the Blue Course at the University Club as the Red Wolves are followed by Truett McConnell University at 313.
Nick Brubaker's 74 was the lowest score of the day for IU East, which has him in a tie for sixth on the individual leaderboard. Marian's Weston Ogden, Augie Mann and Nolan Potter top the field as all three posted a 72.
Landon True carded a 75 for the Red Wolves ending the opening round in a tie for 11th.
Sam Firebaugh and Dare Bowles recorded 78s as the duo is tied for 19th. Kylan Nash finished at 81 and he's tied at 29th. Noah Mulford is tied for 34th with an 82.
Tuesday's final round is scheduled to get underway at 8:30 a.m.
