Men's Golf: IU East at Midway Eagle Invitational Day 2 Recap
LEXINGTON, Ky. - The Indiana University East golf men's golf team maintained its opening day third place position after the final round of the Midway University Eagle Invitational on Tuesday, March 31.
Marian University (290-303-593) and Kentucky State University (297-296-593) tied for the team title in the 11-squad event, while IU East was next at 312-305-617 on the Blue Course at the University Club.
Marian's Weston Ogden (72-71-143) won a playoff over Ryan Courtney (74-69-143) of Kentucky State after they were tied on the top of the individual leaderboard.
Sam Firebaugh led the Red Wolves as he tied for seventh with a two-day total of 78-73-151.
Landon True (75-79-154, 14th) was next for IU East followed by Dare Bowles (78-77-155, T15th), Noah Mulford (82-76-158, 24th), Nick Brubaker (74-86-160, T26th) and Kylan Nash (81-82-163, 34th).
Next up for the Red Wolves is a trip to North Carolina for the Hampton Farms Intercollegiate in Ahoskie on April 6-7.
